Grand Prix, the very new competition, arrived to Slovakia very fast. As this new discipline is becoming extremely popular among pilots, older as well as young, we wanted to promote it also in our Middle-European region. 14 pilots were finally registered, 5 of them Slovaks. Than seven other countries had their representation: Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Romania, Hungary and Denmark. Qualifying for the final Grand Prix in New Zealand in 2007, with huge publicity, was attractive target for all pilots. After dramatic battle until the very end of the competition, Petr Krejcirik (Czech Republic) and Herbert Weiss (Germany) reserved their participation. Roland Stuck appreciated the high standard of the competition. One of the best points was the number of valid days – 6 totally, what is the most up to now in Grand Prix event.

6th issue of Pribina Cup is a competition that became very popular among European pilots. Year by year we enjoy higher participation. This year, 11 countries were here, together 112 pilots. Launching was impressive every day and landings back too. Finally we collected 6 valid days. The best pilot of each class achieved about 5000 points.
Roman Mracek from Czech Republic held the lead in front of “German army” of 6 pilots.
Sandor Laurineyecz from Hungary won the 15m class just a few points ahead Robbie Seton from Netherlands and Adomas Grabskis from Lithuania.
Open class was completely steamrolled by Germans led by Helge Liebertz, behind him Joachim Treier and Achim Besser. As visible, Germans have a perspective and broad young cadre also for the future.

The event is over. As I arrived to the airport, maybe 1/3 of trailers were standing on their yesterday position. Many handshakes and good-byes. But the season has just started, we have many occasions to see us later this year … and if not, than surely back to Nitra. You all are welcomed!
